Bolivia Rejects OAS Report on Venezuelan Government
La Paz, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivian Movement of Friendship with Venezuela has described today as illegitimate and disrespectful the report on the Venezuelan Government presented by Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro.
For the solidarity organization, the document offends the Venezuelan people and forges lies in order to cause an international intervention in the South American country.
The Bolivian communiqué states that it is now more evident that Almagro is in perfect harmony with the most perverse imperialist pretensions against the homeland of Simon Bolivar.
We remind you from Bolivia that Venezuela is a free and independent country, it is not subject to pressures, blackmail or external mandates, even less when they are issued with the imperialist pretensions of an organization that has only promoted wars and has quit when it should act independently, the text says.
The Bolivian Movement of Friendship with Venezuela states that, through a 75-page report full of lies, Almagro raises the application of the Democratic Charter against Venezuela, transgressing not only the powers conferred by his position within the OAS, but also the same condition as a Latin American.
As Bolivians, but even more as Latin Americans, we support the Bolivarian Revolution, the Venezuelan people and President, Nicolas Maduro, in the face of this new attack that seeks to end a process that has been an example for the region, the statement says.
The document also reaffirms the commitment to defend the independence conquered with blood and sacrifices, and the right to be free and to develop the political, economic and social model that - together with the peoples - we have decided.
