Turkey Promises to Strengthen Relations with Central America
Istanbul, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina) The Turkish Government promised to strengthen the relations with the Central American countries, during the second forum on cooperation between this country and the Central American Integration System (SICA), currently in session in this city.
This country's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu asserted to the other foreign minister attending the forum that Ankara would seek tighter cooperation with the SICA members.
He also announced a $500,000-USD contribution to the organization and boost to trade, which provided the nine member countries, plus Turkey, with around $326 million USD.
Werner Isaac Vargas Torres, originally from Nicaragua and executive director to SICA, stressed the importance of Turkey's relations with the member countries of his organization and requested to increase the political dialogue and cooperation between both sides.
