Professionals Denounce Deterioration of Brazilian Economy
21 de febrero de 2017, 16:02Brasilia, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) Professionals of the engineering and business sectors denounced continuous deterioration of the Brazilian economy in a manifest published today.
Grouped in the Parliamentarian Front in Defense of Engineering, Infrastructure and National Development, both sectors expressed their disagreement with the economic program of President Michel Temer, who was associated with chaos in the country's industry.
The aforementioned professionals condemned 'the waste of Petrobras assets, historic pillar of our industrial development.'
Brazil de Fato, a Brazilian weekly political journal, said the group defended 'reorientation of the economic policy towards faster reduction of the interest rates, rationalization of the tax burden and resumption of public investment, something that would allow recovering industrial production and the people's purchasing power.'
According to the text, since the coup that overthrew President Dilma Rousseff, the Government economic team is very related to anarchy and inefficiency.
The group of engineers and businesspeople recalled that there were millions of unemployed people, thousands of closed companies, increasing social dissatisfaction and forced liquidation of the Brazilian industrial park.
Brazil, one of the ten most important economies in the world, has been reduced to the mere condition of exporter of grains, meat and mineral resources. 'Giving up its industrial base, leads us again to a colonial situation,' they explained in the manifest.
