Huawei will invest 100 million dollars in plan for Asia-Pacific

Beijing, Aug 3 (Prensa Latina) Chinese technology company Huawei announced today the investment of 100 million dollars over the next three years in emerging companies from Asia-Pacific nations, as part of its strategy to diversify and recover.

Company leaders explained this move as part of the program called Spark and is aimed precisely at building a sustainable environment for new ventures in the region.

It will benefit companies with less than 10 years of existence, from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, linked to sectors such as technology, financial services and insurance, transportation and logistics, press, education, entertainment and digital platforms.

According to Huawei, this way it will provide innovative products and financing to support their development.

The initiative is part of the Chinese corporation’s plans to reinvent itself and stay afloat while going through challenging times, due to a campaign against led by the United States, plus the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.

Although the company foresees another difficult year in 2021, it is committed to consolidating its technological leadership, supporting businesses with greater resilience, maximizing the value of ultra-fast 5G and accelerating the evolution of 5.5G to support different types of connections.

Another focus of attention is self-sufficiency. It will go through more investments in the creation of semiconductors and to attract brains for the development of Harmony OS operating system, with the idea of ​​making it attractive to young people, offering them smart solutions whether at home, office, during travel, recreation or training sessions.
