Cuba and Venezuela reaffirm ties of brotherhood and cooperation

Havana, May 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, reaffirmed here, together with the Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism of Venezuela, Freddy Ñáñez, the ties of brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation uniting both nations.

The head of Cuban diplomacy reported from his Twitter account about the meeting held at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, where the will that exists between the Caribbean nation and the Bolivarian Republic continue strengthening their bilateral ties.

A delegation from the Committee of International Solidarity and Struggle for Peace (COSI) of Venezuela attended May 1, International Workers’ Day parade, to show their support for the island’s working class and ratify their support against the unilateral coercive measures of the United States, intensified during the pandemic.

On October 30, 2000, leaders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez signed the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, which allowed more than 255,000 collaborators from 26 organizations, institutions and companies in Cuba to leave their mark on the South American nation in the last two decades.

This agreement allows the Venezuelan and Cuban governments to complement their capabilities in the areas of food, education, health, science and technology.
