This Friday’s session will open with the written vote of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, followed by the other magistrates.
Lawyers can appear through videos sent to the proceedings. Each action will be analyzed and judged individually.
The defendants are accused of being part at the core of the events that led to the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers in Brasilia, and were charged with armed criminal association, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic State of Law, attempted coup, qualified damages and deterioration of the declared assets.
The complaints were offered by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR)
This will be the eighth round of trial for those accused of having participated in the anti-democratic episodes.
Nearly 170 people accused are still waiting for a trial date to be set. The trials of another 1,125 persons accused of less serious crimes were suspended so that the PGR could evaluate the possibility of signing agreements.
