The foreign ministers’ meeting is taking place in the context of several gatherings in this capital, serving as a preamble to the summit of Heads of State and Associated States, which will close with the handover of the temporary president from Paraguay to Uruguay .

According to the program, it should last for three hours and end with the approval of the joint statements of the heads of state, special declarations, and other important documents for the regional bloc.

Also, at the request of Mercosur, this Sunday will witness the signing of agreements on the development of several sectors.

Paraguay hosted several meetings this week, as part of its farewell to the temporary presidency, during which Mercosur and the United Arab Emirates achieved significant progress in negotiations for the eventual signing of an agreement that should expand trade in both directions.
