The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the forum announced by President Emmanuel Macron would bring together partner states of Lebanon, the United Nations, the European Union and international, regional and civil society organizations.
According to the source, the conference will aim to mobilize the world community to respond to the needs for protection and emergency aid of the Lebanese population.

The Foreign Ministry informed that at the meeting, France will call for a ceasefire and a diplomatic solution based on UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Israel has been bombing Lebanon for three weeks and has recently launched limited military operations, which it says are aimed at destroying the Shiite movement Hezbollah (Party of God), but there are many reports of civilian deaths and significant damage to vital infrastructure.
The forum acknowledges that the Middle Eastern country is experiencing a serious and profound political and humanitarian crisis and advocates the safe return of displaced Lebanese and Israelis to their homes.
