“Ukraine is a politically unstable state, and no one can say what kind of government it will have,” the leader stated, emphasizing that, therefore, there is no guarantee that Ukraine and its armed forces will adopt a friendly stance toward EU countries.
According to Kossuth radio, Orban emphasized that EU funding of a million-strong army, as proposed by Ukraine, poses a serious threat to European security.
Since the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Hungarian government has refused to supply arms to kiev or provide military assistance.
Based on media reports, Budapest condemned Moscow’s actions, but always stressed that the Ukrainian conflict cannot be resolved on the battlefield, but through negotiations.
