The legislator stated this Friday on his Telegram channel that each of the German-made missiles launched by the Ukrainian military, and whose future delivery Berlin announced, will increase the number of casualties and bring closer the possibility of a major war in Europe.
Kosachev stressed that Germany is “playing with fire” with its attempts to exploit the uncertainty surrounding the Taurus missiles.
The intensification of attacks on Russia “in no way brings peace closer and will not make Russia more complacent regarding the empty ultimatums from Europe and kiev, and will not strengthen Germany’s security,” the official emphasized.
On May 26th, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Germany and other North Atlantic Treaty Organization member countries had lifted restrictions on the delivery of long-range missiles to Ukraine, which could attack targets deep inside Russian territory.
The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that they would view Taurus missile attacks on Russian territory as Germany’s involvement in the conflict.
