Chief Commissioner Mesfin Araya underscored ENDC’s determination, in close collaboration with stakeholders, to meet people’s aspirations and find lasting solutions to the country’s fundamental challenges.
Araya explained that integrating the Tigray Regional State into the national dialogue and gathering inputs from the Diaspora are key priorities for the Commission.
He reiterated that institution’s willingness to play its role in fostering a debate that addresses the root causes of the country’s problems through broad participation and inclusion.
He urged religious leaders, elderly citizens, political parties, media organizations, civic and professional associations, public figures, influential individuals, and democratic and law enforcement institutions to contribute to the success of this historic national dialogue.
Established on February 23, 2022, the ENDC is tasked with facilitating dialogue on the country’s most pressing issues. Since its founding, it has conducted extensive preparatory activities, including meetings in different regions and social segments.
