Minh Chinh arrived in Tallinn on Thursday for a three-day official visit, the first by a Vietnamese prime minister to Estonia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. On his first day, the president met with the Speaker of the State Assembly, Lauri Hussar.
After expressing his gratitude for Estonia’s support for Vietnam in its struggle for independence, national reunification, and ongoing development, Minh Chinh highlighted the positive development of bilateral relations and expressed his confidence that his trip will mark a new milestone in the traditional cooperation between the two nations, commensurate with its potential.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister’s official visit to Estonia is the first leg of a tour that will later take him to Sweden and France, where he will participate in the Third United Nations Ocean Conference, to be held from June 9th to 13th in Nice.
