The event, where the Caribbean nation presents its tourism proposals for the summer season and next winter, has a format that combines the sessions of the Forum, designed as a platform for business communication between the Slavic State and companies from different sectors, with the first Russian Tourism Festival for an audience of domestic travelers.

Prior to the opening of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko arrived at the stand of Cuba, who greeted those present, among whom were the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cuba, Yamily Aldama, and the Antillean ambassador in Moscow, Julio Garmendía.

“Cuba is in our heart, we love Cuba very much. Our presidents agreed that we will develop the tourist flow between our countries. We make great efforts for this. I am very grateful to you for coming here to inform Russian companies about the opportunities that exist,” Dimitri told the Cuban representative.

Aldama commented exclusively to Prensa Latina that Russia continues to be among the first issuing markets of tourists to where Russians call the Island of Freedom.

In that sense, she added that among the offers they no longer only have sun and beach, they have diversified the proposals to the areas of contact with nature, as well as with the cities, such is the case of the Varadero-Havana routes, as well as the exchanges with the Antillean culture and traditions.
