During the meeting, they talked about investment by Chinese companies in the exploration, extraction, and production of oil and natural gas in promising offshore blocks in Myanmar.
They also discussed support for Chinese companies that will cooperate in exploration and drilling processes in offshore blocks, and an oil refinery project that will use crude oil from the Southeast Asian pipeline.
A key item on the agenda was the strategic energy projects that are part of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, under the Beijing-driven Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
General managers, managing directors, and other relevant officials from the affiliated department and the Chinese embassy attended the meeting.
