Speaking at the UK-Malaysia Digital Forum in London, Singh Deo positioned Malaysia as a regional powerhouse in innovation, digital investment and sustainable technology development.
“Malaysia is open to innovation. Our vision is based on three critical enablers: world-class infrastructure, trusted data governance and institutional trust,” the minister stated.
At the forum, the official reiterated Malaysia’s commitment to becoming a thriving, future-ready digital hub that welcomes international partnerships and is poised for sustainable, high-value growth.
During this period, 107 new companies were approved under the “Digital Malaysia” framework, with a combined investment value of 13.1 billion ringgit (three billion 88 million 800 thousand dollars).
“These investments are expected to generate 4,199 new jobs over the next five years,” Singh Deo said.
Finally, Gobind extended an invitation to UK partners to participate in events such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Artificial Intelligence Summit in Malaysia, scheduled for next August.
