Russian tourists stranded in the Emirates due to Israel-Iran conflict

Moscow, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported that some two thousand tourists from the Eurasian nation are stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to the closure of Iran's airspace.

The guild specified that the cancellations and delays affect both tourists who traveled to the Emirates and those returning from other destinations with stopovers at Emirati airports.

Normally, almost all flights between Russia and the United Arab Emirates cross Iranian airspace, but since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against the Persian nation, some Russian airlines such as Pobeda have opted to temporarily suspend these routes and offer compensation to passengers.

Others, such as Aeroflot, avoid flying over Iran and make a technical stopover in the Russian city of Samara for refueling.

In the case of the Arab countries airlines, they have not yet worked out a single strategy. Flydubai is resuming some flights; Emirates is diverting its planes out of Iranian airspace, while Air Arabia has chosen to cancel flights.
