Under the slogan “More Awareness for a Healthy Environment,” nearly 700 Cuban specialists and more than 70 foreigners from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Spain, the United States, Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, and Suriname will attend the Convention.
This biennial event represents a valuable opportunity to bring together a broad spectrum of stakeholders committed to the planet’s sustainability, the organizing committee informed.
The proposed issues, highly topical, have significant importance in the Cuban and global context, and range from environmental education to climate change.
Cubambiente 2025, which combines in-person and virtual attendees, is convened by the Environment Agency of the Cuban Science, Technology, and Environment Ministry (CITMA), along with other entities and organizations.
The major event will include the 15th Congress on Environmental Education for Sustainable Development, the 14th Congress on Protected Areas, the 12th Congress on Environmental Management, and the 10th Congress on Ecosystem and Biodiversity Management, among others.
