Cuba remembers Kim Il Sung on the anniversary of his death

Havana, 8 Jul (Prensa Latina) Cuban authorities today remembered the founder of the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Il Sung, on the 31st anniversary of his death.

The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, highlighted in the social network X his merits as founder of the Labor Party and reiterated the ‘invariable friendship and solidarity that unites the parties, governments and peoples of both countries’.

For his part, the Cuban foreign minister, Bruno Rodríguez, assured that the DPRK unites us with ‘historical ties of cooperation, which we will continue to strengthen’.

Kim Il Sung was the creator of the Juche ideology and supreme leader of the DPRK from its foundation until his death on 8 July 1994.

Under his leadership the country was established as a socialist state with a centrally planned economy.
