Firstly, we have deepened political relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the context of Brazil’s growing role in the region and the world, the deputy minister emphasized in statements reported by the government’s online newspaper.

According to Minh Hang, both parties agreed on the main directions of the relationship, especially in economic, trade, and investment, as Lula reaffirmed his support for Vietnam to promptly conclude negotiations on both the Free Trade Agreement with the Southern Common Market and with Brazil.

The Vice Foreign Minister said that one of the highlights of the working trip was agricultural cooperation, an area both leaders addressed with special attention and discussed at length.

They agreed on creating more favorable conditions for both countries and the region to access quality agricultural products from both nations.

Their commitment to promoting cooperation in the coffee industry, encouraging the formation of an alliance for its production and export, building a common brand, and strengthening the culture of enjoying coffee, a distinctive trait of both peoples was also reaffirmed.

Furthermore, both sides agreed on and signed several collaboration documents and agreements, including memoranda of understanding on cooperation in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, as well as between representatives of major companies from both countries, valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.

Regarding Minh Chinh’s participation at BRICS Summit, the Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the strong message of strengthening multilateral cooperation, as well as the affirmation of the role of developing countries in the global governance system conveyed by the Vietnamese leader.
