This Wednesday´s TV program “Con el Mazo Dando,” the political leader stated that 335 mayors, 2,471 council members, and equal number of substitutes, will be elected for this electoral process, the 33rd since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution.

Cabello added that in parallel, on Sunday, July 27, young people will vote in a popular consultation for 37,000 projects that were presented, discussed, and assessed by youth in their community assemblies.

The PSUV leader described this exercise as “participatory and protagonist democracy.”

Commenting on the opposition sectors, Cabello stated that “they have lost control of the territory” and, what they had, they will end up losing due to the “political stupidity of not participating in the elections.”

He predicted that “the outlook is that the Revolution will win all 335 mayoralties” in the July elections.

An estimated 21,524,126 Venezuelans are called to vote in these municipal elections, 227,281 of which will vote abroad.
