At a meeting in Beijing, Pakistani Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the National Administration of Radio and Television Cao Shumin agreed to create a joint strategy against fake news and emphasized technical training and institutional collaboration.

The two officials also discussed an agreement between China Central Television (CCTV) and Pakistan Television (PTV) to promote information exchange and cooperation.

The Pakistani Information Minister said that under the agreement, the two institutions will strengthen their collaboration in news, documentaries, training materials and technical assistance.

He assured that Pakistan is ready to translate bilateral media cooperation into practical action.
