“The pronouncements by UN Secretary-General António Guterres are another eloquent demonstration of his political shortsightedness and bias, which manifest themselves in practically unlimited support for the criminal regime in Kiev and the Atlantic Alliance that backs it,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In this regard, the diplomatic ministry added that Guterres and his subordinates regularly collect and propagate the lies fabricated by the Ukrainian capital and Western countries to discredit Russia.

“They are determined to silence Kyiv’s flagrant violations of international humanitarian law or, at best, are simply calling for restraint from both sides,” the organization told reporters.

The Ministry also reaffirmed that Ukraine is implementing comprehensive measures to strictly comply with international humanitarian law, exclusively targeting Ukrainian military facilities with high-precision weapons.

However, the Foreign Ministry denounced that the other party to the conflict “systematically carries out targeted actions against Russian civilians and infrastructure, confirming its terrorist nature.”
