Bolivia warns of plans to eliminate Plurinational State

La Paz, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia's right wing is currently hatching up plans to eliminate the Plurinational State and return to a racist and neoliberal Republic, implementing old recipes for privatizing public companies, President Luis Arce warned.

Referring to the August general elections in the Mocomoco municipality, 218 kilometers from La Paz, Arce affirmed that the only solution is that the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) returns to power.

The president warned, “Elections are approaching, and (…) our Plurinational State is at risk. Right-wing parties are already talking about eliminating the Plurinational State and returning to a republican State, where indigenous peoples are not recognized, and all the rights we have enjoyed until now are not recognized.”

The head of State gave a speech upon handing over a section of a tourist circuit, an educational facility, an irrigation system, and 45 social housing units, with a state investment of more than 20.5 million bolivianos (almost three million dollars).

Arce’s warning of threats to the Plurinational State is related to statements made by right-wing presidential candidates Samuel Doria Medina and Jorge Tuto Quiroga.

The president insisted that with the MAS, “(…) We will continue carrying out these projects, we will continue building the country, we will continue visiting our municipalities, we will continue building everything the Bolivian people need (…).”
