With the presence of the leader of the Revolution, army general Raúl Castro, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel, the parliamentarians certified the information containing the results of the audit to the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH).
This agency of the central administration of the State fulfilled 100% of the actions planned, and works on the 19 recommendations left by parliamentary committees and the plenary of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP).
Among other things, it was found that the accounts receivable of the state sector decreased by 57,200 billion pesos in entities of the Water and Sanitation company, and in the residential area the debt decreased by about 23,400 billion pesos.
However, the legislators considered that the reduction of the debt is still insufficient, as there are about 810 million pesos in arrears for the service of these entities. It also highlights information, that water resource companies have properly designed the methodology to be included in the Government Program to correct distortions and revive the economy, which aims at managing new sources of financing and implementing a strong investment plan.
The plenary also noted the progress made by INRH in implementing the Policy for the Prospective Development of Renewable Sources and Efficient Use of Energy.
The ANPP also approved the updating of the legislative schedule for the period 2025, a stage that foresaw the discussion of 25 legal norms, of which 13 laws and 12 decrees-laws.
