At Giraldo Cordova Cardin sports center, the visitors will express their support to the Cuban Revolution, on the 72nd anniversary of the assaults on Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks, in Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo, respectively.

According to Tania Maria Companioni Olivares, local delegate of the Cuban Friendship Institute, the number of attendees is one of the largest received in Cuba for the occasion.

This, she said, confirms the response of the broad international movement of solidarity with this Caribbean nation, which has the support of more than 1,700 organizations in 153 countries.

Cuba will celebrate this July 26 the 72nd anniversary of the assaults on those military fortresses of Fulgencio Batista’s regime, which initiated the armed rebellion against the dictatorship, defeated in 1959 by the rebel forces commanded by Fidel Castro.

Ciego de Avila province will be the site of the main event for the anniversary on this occasion.
