The reforms to the controversial Law 462 of the Social Security Fund, which kept the country in suspense after more than three months of protests, is one of almost 70 initiatives.

In the fourth week of negotiations, the number of deputies that will participate in each of the commissions, according to the proportionality established by the Internal Regulations of the entity – another project waiting for changes – is the main stumbling block that has kept the institution paralyzed since July 1.

In some working groups there is greater rapprochement and agreements, such as the Commission for Agricultural Affairs or Transportation.

Among the major differences are Credentials, Government and Budget, and the outlook is that they could end up being defined by a vote in the plenary, a secret ballot, which most of the benches want to avoid.

The now opposition Democratic Revolutionary Party and the pro-government party Realizando Metas maintain that the Vamos bench has two deputies in the nine-member commissions and three in the Budget, while the independents affirm that there are three in both.
