Tsivilyov, who just returned from the African nation, rememebered that the memorandum was signed in his presence and that of his Nigerien counterpart, Ousmane Abarchi, and aims at cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and related advanced technologies.
The minister underscored that Russia’s objective is not limited to uranium extraction but also lies in the creation of a comprehensive system for the development of peaceful atomic energy in Niger.
It includes the construction of accessible electrical infrastructure for the entire population, cooperation in atomic medicine, and the joint training of specialists in this field.
