The decision, without offering more details, was publicly exposed the day before through his account on the social network X, where he also shared a letter addressed to the President of the Republic, Jose Raul Mulino, according to the news channel TVN.
“It has been an honor to serve the country with integrity and commitment, moving towards a more modern and sustainable energy system. Thank you for the trust,” the expert wrote.
In his missive letter, Urriola pointed out that in his performance he sought to advance towards a modern, sustainable energy policy aligned with the highest national interests, he also expressed his willingness to collaborate in the orderly closure of pending issues.
During his brief tenure, Urriola promoted one of the most ambitious strategic projects in the energy sector, the electrical interconnection between Panama and Colombia, valued at approximately 800 million dollars, the proposed route includes 500 kilometers of line, of which 130 kilometers would be submarine.
