“Against our values and will, we find ourselves complicit in the horrific actions conducted by our government in Gaza,” the artists wrote in a letter, excerpts of which were published by The Times of Israel.
The letter criticized “the murder of children, starvation policies, massive population displacement, and the senseless destruction of entire cities” in the coastal enclave.
The statement urged the military forces to disobey illegal orders and not commit war crimes.
Do not neglect the principles of human morality and the values of Judaism. Stop the war. Release the hostages, they stated.
