At a press briefing in Islamabad with Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that both nations signed agreements including cooperation in plant protection and plant quarantine, joint use of the Mirjaveh-Taftan border gate, collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, and information and communication.
They are also related to exchange programs in culture, art, tourism, youth, media, exports, and cooperation in meteorology, climatology, and climate change risks.
Delegations from both countries also exchanged memoranda of understanding on maritime safety, firefighting, and judicial assistance in criminal matters.
Also, a similar mechanism complementary to a 2013 agreement related to air services, another on the acknowledgement of product certification, inspection, and testing, tourism cooperation for 2025-2027, and a joint ministerial declaration on the intention to finalize the Free Trade Agreement.
Sharif described the recent unprovoked Israeli aggression against Iran as completely unjustified and reiterated, on behalf of his government and people, his condemnation in the strongest possible terms.
