Headed by the Secretary of the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Amardeep Singh Bhatia, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Alexey Gruzdev, the meeting provided a platform to strengthen cooperation in key sectors.
Discussions included updates from the sub-groups on modernization, mining, fertilizers and rail transport as well as new areas of collaboration. Among the key areas Key areas of approach were analyzed cooperation in aerospace science and technology, including the establishment of a modernized wind tunnel, as well as the production of piston engines for small aircraft.
Similarly, joint development in carbon fibre technology, additive manufacturing and 3D printing.
Both sides also explored opportunities in the extraction of rare earths and critical minerals, underground coal gasification and the creation of modern industrial infrastructure.
Representatives of the two countries welcomed increased participation in the aluminium, fertilizer and rail transport sectors, together with capacity development and technology transfer for mining equipment, the exploration and management of industrial and household waste.
