Accompanied by the governor of Havana, Yanet Hernandez, the incumbent checked production systems in strategic centers of the municipalities of Regla, Old Havana, Guanabacoa, La Lisa, Marianao and Plaza de la Revolución.
Valdes also assess the entities’s contribution to the national economy and the needs of the inhabitants of the largest Cuban city.
The commercial food company COPMAR, of the Fishing Industry business group, located in the municipality of Old Havana, was among the targets visited, reported the digital site Tribuna de La Habana.
The general director of the entity, Rolando Esquivel García, explained that the company has 573 workers and three Base Business Units (UEB): Havana, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba.
According to the official, since August 5, the UEB in the capital has been unloading a ship with products from the basic food basket containing about 2,800 tons of chicken.
Out of these, 1,400 tons have been unloaded and distributed to the central and western regions of the country.
