Vietnam highlights significant progress in digital transformation

Hanoi, August 10 (Prensa Latina) The significant progress made by Vietnam in digital transformation during the first half of 2025, as well as the key strategic tasks to accelerate this process, were highlighted by the VNA news agency.

A notable milestone in this term was the launching of the monitoring system for the implementation of the Resolution updating the Government Action Program on Science, Technology, and Innovation.

Last June, the rate of online file processing reached 39,51%. Ministries exceeded 51%, but local governments only reached 15%, far from the national target of 80%, the report indicated.

On the other hand, he added, 35,48% of the adult population already has electronic signatures, and the National Center for Digital Certification raised $1.23 million, of which $184,000 was contributed to the state budget.

The Ministry of Science and Technology published the Digital Government Architecture Framework version 4.0 and proposed the Digital Transformation Law, along with decrees on national databases and trust services.

However, the source noted, challenges persist, such as the low quality of digital public services, data fragmentation, and insufficient legal frameworks.

Three key areas are prioritized for the second half of 2025: institutional improvement, the promotion of digital platforms, and the improvement of public services.
