According to the Kremlin press service on Monday, Putin told Pashinyan of the importance of steps to ensure sustainable peace between Yerevan and Baku and confirmed Russia’s willingness to facilitate the comprehensive normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Armenian Prime Minister, welcomed efforts aimed at a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis and also informed Putin about the results of his meeting with US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, held in Washington last Friday.
Putin, in turn, briefed Pashinyan on the results of his meeting with US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and preparations for a meeting with Trump in Alaska.
The two sides also discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, with an emphasis on the future development of trade and investment cooperation and interaction within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
