After several months of negotiations, the Federacion Regionalista Verde Social (Green Social Regionalist Federation-FRVS) and the Accion Humanista (Humanist Action) party finally abandoned the talks, considering that the seats offered to their parties were insufficient for their interests.
From now on, both parties will seek alliances with other groups, which implies a second list of candidates that, in practice, will reduce the chances of some candidates in districts where the right or the far right are better positioned.
Representative Jaime Mulet, of the FRVS, noted that despite intense negotiations, it is impossible to secure the minimums for all groups, and it no longer made much sense to continue.
Despite the breach, Mulet assured that they will maintain support for presidential candidate Jeannette Jara, who is a member of the Communist Party of Chile (PCCh).
