The Russian diplomatic institution informed that “Lavrov will hold talks on August 21 with his Indian counterpart, Jaishankar, who will be on an official visit to Moscow to attend the 26th session of the Russian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade, Technical, Scientific, and Cultural Cooperation.”
The release stated that the two ministers will discuss the bilateral agenda and interaction in international formats.
Lavrov and Jaishankar met in mid-July on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Affairs Council and discussed important issues of the bilateral and international agenda, as well as the timing of future contacts.
They also confirmed their mutual willingness to continue strengthening the multifaceted, particularly privileged strategic cooperation between Russia and India at all levels.
