The space Con la esperanza del mundo (With the hope of the world), dedicated to children, will host this morning the launching of the book A child named Fidel Alejandro, an approach to the childhood of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

In the afternoon there will be the space La Tertulia, with the presence of the intellectual and president of Casa de las Américas, Abel Prieto, and the lawyer, historian and essayist Ernesto Limia.

The meeting will discuss Fidel’s close ties with Cuban culture and with UNEAC, founded in 1961.

The organization has designed a number of initiatives across the country to honor the date, including panels, exhibitions, concerts and book presentations. As highlighted on its Facebook page, the program highlights the Commander-in-Chief’s relationship with UNEAC, and his vision of culture as the nation’s shield and sword.

In this way, the organization pays tribute to the Commander-in-Chief and reaffirms «its commitment to the values he defended and to the mission of promoting and safeguarding the best of artistic and literary creation in the country».
