The main event in tribute to the historic leader of the Revolution took place at the coordination headquarters of the brigade of Cuban health professionals in Guatemala City, which included telematic exchange with doctors in the country’s far back areas.

Cuban ambassador to Guatemala, Nazario Fernandez, highlighted the context of the tribute to the tireless fighter for just causes, before the collaborators who fulfill the honorable mission of expanding health care among this people.

Everything Fidel left behind in audiovisual materials and speeches is one of the many tools that we have to continue carrying out our work and defending the Revolution in the current circumstances, Fernandez sadi.

That is what he instilled in us and what keeps us steadfast in fulfilling our commitment to being faithful to his legacy and everything he developed, the diplomat added.

In her introduction to the activity, Dr. Maria Elena Barrero insisted that neither bullets, nor poisons, nor bombs stopped the most colossal man born and fighter in the 20th century.

The Cuban doctors reaffirmed in various messages that Fidel’s revolutionary legacy, his firmness in the face of the empire, and his love for his homeland become compasses of resistance and hope.
