Intended for the entire Cuban population and active or retired personnel of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), photos must reflect moments, tributes, activities, recreations, or any significant relationship with the Commander in Chief.

Each participant may submit up to three original photographs in digital format (JPG or PNG), without watermarks or elements that affect quality or visibility.

Contestants must include a brief description or context of the photo (maximum 150 words).

The deadline for submissions is August 13, 2026, and submissions can be made via email to volivo@unicom.co.cu and digitalverdeolivo@gmail.com.

Initially, 50 photographs will be chosen for exhibition at next year’s Havana International Book Fair.

At the close of the contest, 100 winning photographs will be selected and exhibited in a special exhibition organized by the Verde Olivo Publishing House, curated by a jury specializing in photography and historical memory.

According to the contest rules, participating photographs may be used by the Verde Olivo Publishing House for exhibitions, publications, and promotion of the contest, for non-commercial purposes and with the prior written acknowledgment of the author.

Participants must guarantee authorship and obtain the corresponding permissions for the publication of their images.

The contest aims to rescue and share images that reflect the relationship, tribute, and memory of Fidel among the Cuban people and the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
