The military institution specified that the air defense vehicles shot down 14 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles over the Black Sea, nine over the Volgograd region, seven over the Peninsula of Crimea, and the same number over the Rostov region.
The release adds that four other drones were shot down over the Krasnodar region, two in the Belgorod region, and one over the Sea of Azov.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, in turn, informed that the Ukrainian drone attack caused damage to the regional government headquarters on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the national air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, previously announced that the temporary restriction had been imposed at Volgograd Airport for the third consecutive day to ensure passenger safety.
Since the beginning of the special military operation on February 24, 2022, drone attacks launched from Ukraine on military and civilian targets in the Russian rear have become routine.
