One of the areas most at risk is the besieged city of El Fasher, which has a total lack of humanitarian assistance, while others like Darfur, the Nuba Mountains, Khartoum, and Jazira are also included.
UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said that the World Food Program is calling for urgent humanitarian access to El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur and the last stronghold of the army in that region of Sudan.

According to the director of the Doctors Without Borders mission in Sudan, Tuna Turkmen, the current situation is beyond urgent, as recent heavy rains have contributed to water contamination.
