Convened by the Cuban Book Institute (CBI), the event will take place at 11:00 local time in the street made of wood ‘Calle de Madera’, one side of the Plaza de Armas, in the Historic Center of Havana.

“There are many ways to remember our Commander, Fidel Casto, however, there is a particularly touching way of evoking him: through the experiences of those athletes who had the privilege of sharing with him not only the triumphs but also the sorrows and disappointments.”, refers to the CBI note.

The stories presented in the volume are an exceptional tribute, the statement notes.

“His memories, many of which appear in these lines, recall those great person, imposing, intelligent, humble, human, envious and demanding, who as a father, a protector, a friend was recorded in their lives until today,” says the prologue.
