The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deep concern in a statement over the systematic visits of high-ranking Israeli politicians and military personnel to the West Bank, including that of Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Eyal Zamir, to Tulkarem.
This week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the Ofra settlement, and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also visited the territory a few days earlier.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry also denounced a recent settler attack on al-Mughayyir and stated that it flagrantly violates international law and the Geneva Conventions.
The diplomatic institution warned that these actions are part of a broader strategy of Judaization and gradual annexation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
This week, the Foreign Ministry urged in another statement all countries to take binding action to stop attacks by Israeli settlers.
