In a statement, the institution noted that the latest victim was Khaled Mohammed Al-Madhoun, a cameraman for Palestine TV, who died last night in a military attack in the north of the territory.

The Office condemned these crimes and called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Union of Arab Journalists, and other industry organizations around the world to act and protect Palestinian journalists.

The Office stated that the United States and several Western countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France are responsible for these violations.

Recently, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate accused Israeli troops of carrying out massacres against the union in an attempt to hide the truth.

However, it asserted, the blood of our colleagues “will continue to be a beacon illuminating the path to freedom.”

Faced with this situation, the union called on the world to take immediate and effective measures to hold Israeli leaders, both political and military, accountable.

In 2024, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization awarded the Guillermo Cano Prize to Palestinian journalists covering the conflict in recognition of their work.

Weeks ago, several Palestinian journalists, released from Israeli prisons, denounced the torture and harassment they had been subjected to in those centers in recent months.
