This position, reported by the Syrian press, was expressed by the Minister during his speech at the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Jeddah.
Al-Shaibani emphasized that Damascus has maintained its unwavering commitment to national principles, from Palestine to every battle for justice.
In his speech, the Syrian Foreign Minister strongly denounced the current Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and called it a “morally, humanly, religiously, and historically criminal war.”
He condemned the systematic use of bombings against homes, hospitals, and schools and rejected any attempt to portray Israel as a “party to the conflict,” emphasizing that “the Israeli occupier is, above all, an aggressor.”
He also warned against Israel’s expansionist project, which seeks to disintegrate the Syrian national fabric and turn the occupied Golan Heights into a base to consolidate its occupation and seize more Syrian territory.
Syria will resist partition and attempts to impose a reality by force, he affirmed.
