Upon announcing the information, President Luis Abinader affirmed that this event represents an opportunity to forge alliances, define innovative strategies and promote integration.

The Government assured in a press release that the holding of the conclave constitutes a recognition of the country’s sustained commitment to the fight against impunity and the strengthening of democratic institutions.

It maintained that the meeting will take place in a global context in which greed and corruption promote a war against integrity, human security and sustainability, while contempt for laws and institutions is normalized.

“The advance of authoritarian regimes and their thirst for concentrated power are fueling an unprecedented rise in human rights violations, armed conflicts and crimes against humanity,” he noted in the statement.

The XXI Anti-Corruption Conference took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2024, with the participation of more than 2,000 delegates from 140 countries.
