The approach of a naval force, with a nuclear presence, near Venezuela’s territorial waters is a serious event that could have consequences for all nations, the secretary general of the PCA told Prensa Latina.
Kreyness visited the country where he met with Lautaro Carmona, President of the Communist Party of Chile (PCCh), and with its Secretary General Barbara Figueroa.
The communist leader also participated in the tribute to Guillermo Teillier, former president of that organization, on the 2nd death anniversary, and attended the event marking the 85th anniversary of El Siglo newspaper at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights in this capital.
He noted that Argentine President Javier Milei is more than willing to hand over to the United States a naval base in Tierra del Fuego province to control the South Atlantic region, the interoceanic passage, and the access to Antarctica.
In another part of the interview, Kreyness expressed admiration for the enormous resilience of the Cuban people in the face of the US blockade.
