DPRK enhances Kim Jong Un’s visit to China

Pyongyang, Sept 5 (Prensa Latina) Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) media today highlighted the results of the visit to China by Labor Party general secretary Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the State Affairs Committee also participated in Beijing at the events for the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism and met with the general secretary of the Communist Party and president of China, Xi Jinping.

The state news agency ACNC noted that the two leaders reaffirmed the traditional ties of friendship between both parties, states and peoples and expressed their willingness to continue strengthening cooperation in defense, economy and other domains.

Xi and Kim also reiterated the determination of China and the DPRK to serve as a wall against neo-fascism and imperialism and to work together to safeguard peace and stability in Asia and around the world.

Korean media also highlighted the meeting between Kim and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty signed by both during Putin’s visit to Pyongyang in June last year.

One of the clauses of the pact states that if one party is subjected to a situation of war, the other will provide military aid without delay. Other objectives are the expansion of cooperation in trade, economy, investment, science and technology, education and culture.

“This visit is a historic milestone that consolidates political trust and strategic cooperation between both parties and countries, and demonstrates the invariability and invincibility of Korea-China friendly relations, ACNC said.
