The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) demolished the 12-story Mushtaha building on Friday and the 15-story Sousi building yesterday as part of an escalation aimed at reoccupying the city and expelling Palestinians to the south.
The attacks on high-rise buildings in Gaza pose a direct threat to the telecommunications and internet sector, as local companies install their vital technical equipment on their roofs, the Monitor stated.
The non-governmental organization accused the neighboring country of “deepening its policy of urban annihilation and forcing the population into forced displacement” to the south of the territory.
The communications blackout aims to impose total isolation on civilians and poses a dangerous obstacle to the work of medical and relief personnel, it stressed.
