The agreement was reached during a courtesy video call between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and his acting Vietnamese counterpart, Le Hoai Trung, the Cambodian Foreign Ministry reported.
The Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the balanced increase in bilateral trade and called for continued expansion and diversification of economic cooperation.
Both ministers reaffirmed the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and other international forums.
Sokhonn also expressed his gratitude for Vietnam’s support for the ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand, following the border tensions that have arisen since May, and acknowledged its contribution to the Interim Observer Team.
